KAFTOUN
Even a child knows how valuable the forest is. The fresh, breathtaking smell of trees, echoing birds flying above that dense greenery hide stairs. It holds a stable climate, a sustainable, diverse life and a source of culture. Yet, If you’re up for the challenge you can climb one of Lebanon’s longest flights of stairs (at 788 steps) ,in Kaftoun a village in north Lebanon, nicknamed the Stairway to Heaven, the ride is as beautiful as the destination. On your way up, you’ll become more and more immersed in nature till all you can see are large stretches of lush forest from all angles.
These stairs are in kaftoun village located along the north bank of the walnut river, in the Koura district, North Lebanon

Kfarhelda Waterfall is situated in a stunning valley called Bsetines al-Issie (Gardens of Cane) and about 72 kms away from Beirut.
These lovely spring waterfalls hit the banks of Nahr al-Jawz.
