A Big Storm Attacks Me
My first trip was to explore the Shouf Biosphere reserve, the Largest Reserve in Lebanon. It contains around a quarter of Lebanon’s Cedar forests.
My aim was to discover its splendid locations, prepare myself for a harsh adventure in the middle of a storm and to photograph marvelous views. It’s a beautiful site for hiking; to go there in groups to circle around an amazing scenery of old Cedars that represent the Lebanese nature beauty away from the city and into the heart of nature. And at that time, the climate was representing a quiet masterpiece without its stormy rage.
After a period of time, my true adventure began where I hiked in the middle of the storm. During this unforgettable adventure, I faced a lot of troubles and lack of opportunities to fly my drone and shoot pictures. My only aim was to escape and reach my destination with mixed feelings of fear, determination, satisfaction, eagerness and pleasure.
The wintry cedar forest is a dreamy place. Sleepy, yet still readying itself for rebirth. Footsteps in the snow suggest where you have been. They point to where you were going, but then they suddenly vanish. Never dismiss the possibility of flight. The cedars feel dreamlike when they’re draped in snow.
